Fall Farm Adventure

These guided farm adventures take kids through our fields on a scavenger hunt for the six plant parts—roots, stems, leaves, flowers, fruits, and seeds. When we find the plant parts, we harvest and eat them! Kids take home a sugar pie pumpkin.

Who: Preschool – 5th grade

When: September through November, Monday – Friday at 9:30 am, 11:00 am, 12:30 pm, plus Saturdays in October at 11:00 am & 12:30 pm

Highlights:

• Explore the Kids’ Farm & play games in our Living Playground.
• Harvest and eat seasonal food crops.
• Sing songs, explore, witness the birds, bugs, bees and butterflies that call our farm home and help us keep a balanced harmony on the farm.

It begins with a fall visit to the farm and ends with a return visit in the springtime. Over the course of their three classes, students will trace the life cycle of a pumpkin in reverse, from seed to seeding fruit.
